yes. no more boos on cnn. new year s eve. that is correct. no fox as new year s eve i was last year. yeah. what, no more house anyway?g to i watch them that chris toew ceo is the new ceo at cnn. has banned the anchors from boozing it up this year on new year s eve. is year onhe says on camera, drn erodes the credibilityki of cnn personnel and it has damagedan the network s respectability. laura , i don t know what he s talking about. no, no more from a man thatha has no money. back to the street, preaching from what. is everywhere. come on , i don t give a what do you think about that? what do you think of it?i don t i don t care. i m a grown man.i do i don t don what you can kiss my behind. . i do not.at i m a little bit lower right now.
juggle lingering pandemic, inflation, uncertain economy, kids in school, higher gas prices, who out there is pining for a government shutdown? i don t want to overread the results of the midterms but i do think one of the messages from independents was can we stop it with the crazy stuff and get stuff done? it s a fair i think if something requires an affirmative vote of both chambers it will be very, very difficult to get it done. there are some fledgeling efforts under way, i think they mostly still live in the fantasy realm but there are centrist democrats talk being whether they can bring over some drn whatever is left of moderate republicans or people in trouble in districts in terms of voting on individual things, in terms of flipping party affiliation, in terms of all that stuff. i don t see it, but it s an effort and it exists. i do think if you look if history is a guide, there is the idea that president biden would tack back towards the center to run towards 2024. i
encouragement to the counties to do this, so we re going to see if they do that. in ohio, yes, that was the case in 2020. you saw joe biden had a lead in ohio until more than 50% of the count was vote in the same day came last. what you ll see in this idea the red mirage, republicans get out to a big lead and democrats try to play catchup, i think the states where that s likely to happen is pennsylvania, michigan, and wisconsin. wisconsin because the biggest city in the state, milwaukee, takes the absentee vote, vote by mail, and bring it to a central processing facility and count it at the very end of the night. we ve seen twice now in wisconsin, in 2018 and 2020, the election was decided razor thin margins, it always is in wisconsin drn in 2018 when scott walker lost, in 2020 when donald trump lost the state by 0,000 votes, you saw the state shift from red to blue with that milwaukee absentee that was
made its way into that country. as you guys said this morning some 376,000 people are without power in nova scotia. that storm weakened to a category 2 after really having been a category 4 through much of its projection. the forecasters in canada said that they re expecting anywhere between 6 to 8-feet storm surge and they re calling for two months worth of rain making its way across the eastern part of canada. the shelters, there, they opened earlier this week, and the area there was really getting ready for this significant rainfall that was going to come with the storm. again, some of the damage that we re getting a look at from prince edward island shows some homes there without electricity. we looked at a drn there was a gas station also that was pretty that suffered some kind of damage. fiona has not been the drn has not only set its sights on eastern canada. as we know it s battered puerto
commissioner garnell whitfield has served this community for decades. and when we saw him, um, outside of the drn the store, we thou he had just responded to help out with what was going on, and he was this to look for his mother. heartbreaking. mr. mayor, how are you this morning? you know, didn t get much sleep last night at all. uh uh really, was up trying to think about the families, the the beautiful lives lost, to process a lot of tears. we are all in pain in this community. we are all hurting all across the community. my phone hasn t stopped ringing from across buffalo, across the nation, and people that i know
