Oro (Kwara), Feb. 15, 2021 The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has demanded the immediate cancellation of the ongoing APC membership registration exercise in Kwara for non compliance with the party’s regulations and guidelines.
The minister made the demand in his home town in Oro, near Ilorin, after partaking in the party’s national registration and revalidation exercise at his PU006 Oro Ward 2.
Speaking at a media briefing, Mohammed demanded the putting in place of a process to ensure the conduct of a credible and fair exercise that would enjoy the support and confidence of all.

Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed on Monday called for the immediate cancellation of the ongoing membership registration exercise of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Kwara state ‘saying that, the exercise was marred by fraud and irregularities across the 16 local government councils of the state.
The APC leader however called on the national Secretariat of the party to instead, put in place a process that will ensure the conduct of a credible and fair exercise that will enjoy the support and confidence of all.

town, Oro in Irepodun local government council area of the state shortly after revalidating his membership of the party., Alhaji Muhammad also called for the “immediate disbandment of the Senator John Danboyi-led membership registration committee for the state as vast majority of the APC stakeholders in the state have lost confidence in the committee.”.

Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed has called for the cancellation of the registration and revalidation exercise in Kwara State saying that it is a failure in the state.
Speaking on Monday in Oro in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State after registration in Unit PU006, Oro Ward 2, the Minister said that the registration exercise did not follow the stipulated guidelines of the All Progressives Congress.
Mohammed said that the registration materials sent to the state were not delivered to the registration units while the seven-member committee headed by Senator John Danboi did not meet with the stakeholders of the party as they disappeared into thin air on arrival in the state.
