Chairman of Qatar’s Gaza Reconstruction Committee, H E Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi affirmed that since the beginning of its work in the field of Gaza reconstruction in 2012, starting with the $407m grant of Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Committee constituted a turning point in the field of development and reconstruction. He said that the committee supervised hundreds of humanitarian projects with integrated plans to provide and meet the needs of the people of Gaza in various fields. Earlier this week, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani gave directives to provide a financial grant of $360 million to the residents of the Gaza Strip for the year 2021.
The grant comes within the framework of State of Qatar s continued support for brotherly Palestinian people besieged in Gaza, according to Qatar News Agency.
