Standing before Gayndah Magistrates Court, the 20-year-old defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to one count of contravening a domestic violence order created on November 12, 2020. Police prosecutor Sergeant Sonia Edwards said at 9pm on November 30, 2020, police were called to a property at Caboolture in relation to a disturbance. The (defendant) has stated the aggrieved has called her a filthy wh-re, Sergeant Edwards said. She s then punched the aggrieved in the chest and face.

Subscriber only A mere one hour after the clock struck 12 on New Year s Day, a Gayndah man was busted by police driving more than three and a half times the legal alcohol limit. At 1am on January 1, the 22-year-old man was intercepted by Gayndah police on Maltby Place. A breath test revealed the young man had been driving with a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.188, more than three and a half times the legal limit of 0.05. The driver will face Gayndah Magistrates Court on February 5, 2021, charged with high range drink driving. On December 22, 2020, police intercepted a driver on the Burnett Highway at Gayndah.
IN THE emergency section of Bundaberg hospital, a meth user was arrested for causing a scene and yelling at police officers. Brendan Lee Bray pleaded guilty in Gayndah Magistrates Court on Friday December 4 to committing a public nuisance offence and driving while under the influence of methamphetamine. Bray was charged for the public nuisance offence that occurred on May 8 when he was present in the Bundaberg Hospital emergency section and proceeded to cause a scene by yelling and swearing. Police prosecutor sergeant Ruddiman said Bray was under the influence of meth at the time. He was yelling out don t f-cking touch me , Sgt Ruddiman said.

AFTER driving while over the alcohol limit for each of their held licenses, two men faced Gayndah Magistrates Court on Friday December 4.
19-year-old Jeffrey Allan Roth pleaded guilty to driving on Mount Debatable Road while over the no alcohol limit and holding a provisional license on November 13.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Ruddiman said police attention was drawn to a quad bike that was travelling with the defendant’s vehicle.
“Police were alerted when the Nissan turned its lights off just momentarily, police then intercepted the Nissan.”
Roth blew a reading of 0.022 when breath tested by police.
Solicitor Morgan Harris said the driver understands he has broken the law and must suffer the consequences.
