A rare Canberra Bomber heads to Ardmore near Auckland minus its wings on the back of a truck from the Air Force Museum of New Zealand in Christchurch.
Christchurch motorists have been treated to an unusual sight, with a rare vintage plane body starting the long journey to its new home on the back of a truck. A Canberra Bomber in storage at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand in Christchurch, is being relocated to New Zealand Warbirds at Ardmore, just south of Auckland – a 1200km trip by road. The main component, the 20-metre-long fuselage, departed on Thursday.
