Some residents in the City of Johannesburg were relying on water tankers, while Tshwane recently warned that levels at some of its reservoirs were dropping rapidly.
The bulk water supplier said its systems are pumping as expected, and supply challenges at municipalities are due to the high consumption and water losses.
