RAJKOT: Four persons including three women living in Gautam Park area attempted suicide inside a shop on Monday, alleging that the dairy farm owner was forcing them to vacate their homes.
Manju Vaghela (45), Gauri Chavda (39), Ketan Sagathiya (27) and Shobhna Chavda (35), all residents of Sujit Society in Gautam Park area near Mavdi police headquarters came to Shiv Shakti Dairy shop and consumed phenyl. They were taken to civil hospital where the condition of all is out of danger.
The four left a typed suicide note in which they named three persons Jagdish Patel, owner of the dairy shop. The issue pertains to a land purchased by Jagdish Patel in 2018. There are around 10 families living on this land purchased by Patel. The residents alleged that they have been living on this land for the last 35 years but were being forced to vacate,” said police.
