The level of the exam was Moderate to difficult. Compared to last year, the paper was Difficult. There were 32 Numerical Ability Type questions which were a bit lengthy. Questions from Manufacturing had high weightage, while questions from Fluid Mechanics were easy. There was zero MSQ (Multiple Select Questions) in the morning shift. 8-10 Questions were theoretical, and the rest were numerically based. GATE 2021 Mechanical Engineering Paper Analysis: Evening Shift The level of the exam was Moderate . Compared to the morning shift, the paper was a bit difficult. Questions from Production had high weightage while questions from Industrial were easy. There were 28 NATs , out of which 18Q were of 2 marks and 10Q  were of 1 marks.

Students from Civil, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and few other courses have appeared for the exam. Overall, GATE 2021 exam on day 1 and day 2 were from moderate to easy in difficulty level. GATE 2021 Exam: Expected Cut off As per the expert’s opinion, GATE 2021 is expected to get reduced than the previous year. The cut off for IIT admission can be reduced from rank 1200 to 1500 compared to the previous year from 1800 to 200.
