Alton Class of 65 remembers fallen veteran classmates

A memorial brick at the VFW Post 1308 lists seven members of Alton High School’s Class of 1965 who died in the Vietnam War.
ALTON Alton High School Class of 1965 is set to prepare for their 55th+1 reunion on Sept. 24 (+1 due to pandemic).
Marion Foster Dimond of Chicago said the graduates will gather at the Bluff City Grill in Alton for the reunion and to honor seven classmates killed in Vietnam:
Robert N. Davis
Leonard Witcher.
According to Dimond, more than one-third of their classmates some 200 people served in the military, many in Vietnam.
