A driver is facing felony charges on accusations he dragged a state trooper with his car and led law enforcement officers on multiple pursuits Thursday night.
A driver clocked at 106 mph in Dover was arrested early Friday morning after a police pursuit that circled around Seacoast communities, covering the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16), Route 101, Route 125 and Route 4, according to New Hampshire State Police.
At 2:20 a.m., Trooper Gary Wood Jr. observed a green 1996 Nissan Maxima driving at 106 mph southbound on the turnpike allegedly operated by Christopher Deputat, 31, of Laconia, according to police. The car matched the description of a vehicle fled from a Dover police officer minutes earlier.
As Wood caught up to the vehicle, he observed obvious lane control issues and suspected that the driver was possibly impaired, police said.

ROCHESTER City resident Brandon Dexter, 26, is facing multiple charges after swerving all over the road during an attempt to elude a trooper late Friday night before his vehicle failed, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Trooper Gary Wood Jr. first spotted Dexter s vehicle about 11:40 p.m. Wood was stopped at the intersection of Ten Rod Road and North Main Street, where he observed a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee pass by him with no registration plates attached and no functioning taillights, police said.
Police said Dexter accelerated away and appeared to be attempting to elude Wood, who drove to catch up and noticed the driver was having significant lane control issues, police said. The vehicle turned onto Twombly Street and then west onto Route 202A. Wood attempted to the stop the vehicle, with no effect, and a pursuit was initiated, police said.
