Burlington, IA- A suspected drunk driver backed into a Burlington Police Department patrol car, and pushed it into another patrol car, causing minor damage. According to a news release, at about 11 AM Wednesday, January 25th, Burlington police officers were dispatched to 3138 Sunnyside Ave. to investigate a report of a subject screaming he was being held, hostage. When officers arrived, they were told the man left the area and were given a description of the truck he was driving. Officers were familiar with the vehicle and knew it was often located in the 1100 block of Bartlett Street. Officers went to that location and saw the truck parked in the middle of the street. 81-year-old Gary Rolf was sitting in the driver's seat, and constantly honking the vehicle's horn.
