BRIDGETON, Mo. (AP) - Two men who were standing outside a disabled semitrailer along Interstate 270 in suburban St. Louis were hit and killed by another vehicle, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday in Bridgeton near the Highway 370 exit, television station KMOV reported. The two men were standing next to the semitrailer that was partially blocking the right lane of the interstate when a sport utility vehicle crashed into the semi, then hit the men, the patrol told the station.
Authorities identified the men killed as Joseph Dunn, 49, of Wentzville, and Gary Grier, 69, of Hazelwood. Troopers said the 41-year-old driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
