Sheku Bayoh supporters stage Kirkcaldy protest six years after death in police custody © Supplied by DCT Media A protest was held in Fife on Saturday, in memory of Sheku Bayoh, a black man who died in police custody. Fife Stand Up To Racism group, which organised the static protest for justice for the family of Mr Bayoh, took to the High Street in Kirkcaldy town centre at 1pm, and continued for around 40 minutes. The event tied in with a week of planned action, as part of the Stand Up To Racism campaign, with the backing of the Fife Trade Unions Council (TUC),  organised to mark the first anniversary of the murder of George Floyd.

Norfolk man accused of having over 220,000 indecent images

Gary Blyth, 57, of Hawthorn Road in Gorleston, appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on Wednesday (May 5). He is facing three charges of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.  The alleged offences include 3,382 Category A images - the most serious - and 22 Category A videos, 3,603 Category B images and 16 Category B videos, as well as 220,773 Category C images and 101 videos. Prosecutor Katherine Houghton told the court that the case was not suitable for a summary trial at the magistrates court.
