We are, of course, talking about the replica First World War Trench which currently sits where part of Garth Hill College’s playing fields used to be. The replica trench situated at Garth Hill College on Bull Lane in Bracknell Used by pupils since July 2019, leaders at Garth Hill are asking Bracknell Forest Council for permission to keep the life-size replica at the college for another five years, with permission for its use set to expire in ‘Spring 2021’. The trench was created to give visitors an idea of life on the frontline during World War One, which ran from 1914 to 1918.
