Atlanta, Jan 25, 2021 – Garry Guan officially announced his candidacy for the Gwinnett County GOP Chair for the upcoming 2021-2023 term.
Guan recently served as the Georgia AAPI Coalition Coordinator where he organized community leaders from all major Georgia Asian Pacific Islander communities as well as supervised Asian language media campaign advertising outreach.
He has previously ran as a Republican candidate and was unsuccessful in his bid for Georgia Senate District 40 seat in the 2020 election and the Georgia State Senate District 5 seat in the 2010 election.
“My goal will be to rebuild and inspire a historical comeback of our Republican party. We need to realign ourselves with our original core values. Duluth, Dec 20, 2020 – Congresswomen-elect Young Kim and Michelle Park Steele from California met with Asian Americans and Korean reporters at a press conference held at a restaurant.
Both Congresswomen-elect of Korean ethnicity and won their respective seats in the Nov 2020 election. Steele won the 48th constituency in California by defeating incumbent Democrat Harley Luda. Young Kim defeated incumbent Gil Cisneros for the California District 39 House seat.
“We are here to campaign to save America. I have a passion to help small business. The two Georgia senators are business people and they understand small business challenges. They are inclusive people and to unite all of us including Asian Americans,” said Congresswoman-elect Michelle Park Steele in her remarks.
