We begin the news this morning with an update out of the east bay. Oakland police are Promising Business owners they will take action against protestors who vandalized store fronts this week over the George Zimmerman verdict. Yesterday the Alameda County das office filed charges against three of the nine people arrested monday night. In a news conference, interim police chief sean whent says the recent wave of violence is unacceptable. He says his department is stepping up its efforts to hold demonstrators accountable. The chief also says he will increase the number of officers covering any future protest. Mayor jean quan was with the chief at that news conference.
