As we wait for the results of this disastrous season to play out, I am going to take a bitter trip down memory lane of the 2024 campaign. I am actually going to start with the good, because there’s a ton of bad to dissect, argue about, and grumble over. I will do my best to limit the points in this post to just 2024, even though many issues are systemic and have plagued the program for years. I will also, as per usual, emphasize that my beef with the current staff is limited to its results on the field over a collection of years, not with any of them as individual people.

The season is absolutely flying by. With Air Force on tap for tomorrow, Ohio State will have already completed 29% of its regular season schedule. And we haven’t even hit March yet. Season will be half over by St. Patrick’s Day. Time really flies. The Falcons of Air Force welcome the Buckeyes to Colorado Springs hoping to get their first win of the season. Losses to Marquette and Denver have put Air Force in a 0-2 hole for this season, and they’ll be hungry to come out of tomorrow’s matchup with a win. Having said that, it’s going to be a tough road for both teams.
It was another slow, frustrating start from Ohio State. Like many games in the past, the Buckeyes struggled to score, or stop their opponents from Utah. The first 15 minutes ended with a 4-1 Utah lead, and the Buckeyes were all out of sorts. Unlike many, many past games, however, the Buckeyes didn't break under the pressure. Even with horrible offense, the team stayed together, amd chipped away. Utah scored its 6th goal with 7:34 left or so, and would only score twice more the rest of the game.
Greetings and salutations, 11W. It’s been a long time since I last posted a lengthy, lacrosse focused bit on here. Lots of life changes led to the delay, but I’m going to pick things up as best I can. Ohio State’s men’s lacrosse team officially scrimmages another team on January 27", so time is running short. There’s a whole lot to get into, with coaching changes, personnel changes (heads up: this is a whole new team), and a much rougher schedule than is advisable with the unknowns on the roster and staff. First things, as always, first.
