Trash Pandas president resigns less than 2 weeks before first game

The Rocket City Trash Pandas on Wednesday announced the resignation of Ralph Nelson, president and CEO of the team he purchased and relocated to Madison.
Nelson unexpectedly leaves the organization less than two weeks before the team’s first game on May 4 at Chattanooga.
In a letter addressed to stakeholders, obtained by AL.com, Nelson said he was leaving to pursue a new opportunity in minor league baseball.
“Today Ralph Nelson announced his resignation to the Trash Pandas. We thank him for his service and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” the team said in a statement.
