GMAC supplying factories with hands-on fire fighting training

The Garment Manufacturing Association in Cambodia (GMAC) provided training on fire fighting to staff from its member factories and enterprises. The training including a hands-on drill on March 11 which GMAC said was essential to prepare staff for the real incident. The training is a bi-annual event, held at the Cambodian Garment Training Institute.

An estimated 1.2 million factory workers have been affected by the government’s lockdown of Phnom Penh and adjacent Takmao town in Kandal province, which will now be extended to May 5, according to the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training spokesperson Heng Sour.
