A Llanidloes artist has paid tribute to the incredible work of the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic by painting portraits of local key workers. Jeremy Andrews, a portrait painter, has now had his work featured in a published book called Portraits for NHS Heroes which raises money for NHS Charities Together. Llanidloes nurse Liz was Jeremy s first portrait to thank all co workers, key workers and NHS staff for the incredible work they are doing . She gives care to patients in their home and is also a nurse at Penrallt day hospital. Liz was nominated by Jeremy s friend and fellow Llanidloes artist Osian Gwent.

If you re driving in parts of outback Queensland, it is probably best not to listen to the authoritative voice on Google Maps, warn the mayors of several regional towns.

Gareth Davey, a 23 year old masters student from Calry says the stigma around contracting Covid-19 needs to be stopped as it can happen to anyone.
The son of John and Valerie,contracted Covid-19 while attending socially distanced college workshops at NUI Galway last September.
Now the Calry native is urging people to be as cautious as ever and to try to stop the spread of the virus in the run-up to Christmas.
Knowing first hand just how easy the virus can spread even while adhering to guidelines, Davey and his marketing classmates have created an awareness campaign that was launched last week.
