Several Taliban Fighters Perished in Paktia

Kabul (BNA) As many as five fighters of Taliban group were killed during clash with Afghan security forces in eastern Paktia province last night.
Hayatullah Nezami spokesman of Paktia police chief told BNA correspondent, the conflict took place, while a group of Taliban fighters stormed on Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in Robat region, Gardiz city the provincial capital of the province.
There were no harm on part of Afghan security troops at the end of the clash, Nezami added.

Gardiz (BNA) Three civilians were martyred by unidentified gunmen in Paktia yesterday.
Hayatullah Ahmadzai, spokesman for the Paktia Security Command, told BNA that the men were shot by unidentified gunmen as they were passing through the Mahleh area of Gardez, in which a woman and two men were lost their lives.
The motive for this incident is not clear yet, he said.

Drinking Water Network Opened in Paktia

Gardiz (BNA) The construction work of a drinking water network at a school in Ariub district of Paktia was completed and put into utilization yesterday.
An official from the Paktia Rural Development Department told BNA that the drinking water network was built at a cost of more than 600,000 Afghanis from the Rural Development Department and with the financial support of UNICEF in a school in Zazi district.
He said that with the construction of this water supply network, the drinking water of five hundred and fifty students of this school was provided.
