the other side. you can see it charred to the top of the hill, but it didn t actually affect those condos at the top. a lot of the people in those condos slept elsewhere, slept by the beach because it just wasn t safe to be there while this fire was coming through. we spoke to some other people who said that they ve been over there on that side of the canyon, putting out spot fires with garden hoses, shovels, whatever they can find. but again, ana, here s the problem. the problem is that with the weather, the wind is coming from inland, it s hot, it is dry, and that is not doing much for the humidity situation over here. obviously that increases the fire risk. then wind gusts, 40, 50 miles per hour could be happening between today and tuesday. so fire crews and of course people who live here as well, they re on high alert for what comes next. scott, are evacuations still happening? where is this fire moving right now? you mentioned the winds are still unpredictable.
