DA: Remains believed to be those of Richard Walski

Human remains found along the Susquehanna River over the weekend are believed to be those of murder suspect Richard Walski, according to the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office. Walski, 47, was charged earlier this month with murdering his wife Patricia, whose body was found in the couple’s Larksville home in August. The badly decomposed remains that were found Saturday morning were discovered along the river in Newport Twp. just north of the Garden Drive-In, an area near where authorities had been searching for Richard Walski. Several personal items, including Richard Walski’s driver’s license, were discovered along with the remains, prosecutors said. Confirmation of the identity of the remains is pending further testing. Prosecutors said a cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
