Did you know that we house the Jasper Local Food Societyâs seed library? In a seed library, seeds are lent out for gardeners to plant and grow, then ripe seeds are harvested from some of the resulting crops and donated back to the library. Seed libraries save money, preserve species diversity and provide gardeners with crops that do well locally. Commercial seeds are also âswappedâ at our seed library.
Due to the timing of our COVID closures, our seeds havenât been circulating much, but weâve decided to fix that. As of May 12, seeds are available for scheduled pickup.
