A group of women in Wichita is working to make sure every Kansas baby has a chance at a good start and their mothers survive bringing them into the world.
The March of Dimes annual report card on premature birth rates across the country shows Kansas has fallen to a C, while Sedgwick County is down to a D. As a whole, the country earned only a D+.
