graduating about 820 new aurvess who are unlike previous officers assigned out to highest crime locations and assigned to work in payers, usually a dozen of them. we re totally changing the concept now where all the officers are going and being dispursed throughout all 77 of our precincts. volunteer training officers. so they get the totality of the police experience during their first six months on the job after garage waiting from the academy. we think this is a much better way to bring the candidate into policing. we think the public is going the perceive them really well. we have many volunteers with their field training officers to the communities that they re going to relesion. there was about another 1200 candidates into the academy.
