WE are pleased to find that in the course of the budget discussion, a spirited attack was made by more than one member on the working of the C.I.D. Syed Muhammad Hussain, who moved a resolution recommending the reduction of the expenditure upon this force by Rs. 59,000, said that while he did not want the abolition of the force, he was of the opinion that the false reports submitted by the C.I.D. did much harm, as the Government put implicit faith in them.
