Pune s auditoriums are facing issues of cleanliness, air-conditioning, water leakage, and parking facilities, causing concern among citizens and artists. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has been unable to keep the auditoriums clean and lacks political pressure to reschedule events. The PMC has been advised to hire professional agencies for cleanliness and appoint officers interested in culture. The district guardian minister has instructed the administration to prepare an action plan and hire private agencies for cleanliness. The Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium will remain closed for air-conditioning system replacement. Balgandharva and other auditoriums will also undergo renovations.
Pune police has laid down some 13 guidelines that MNS, organisers and Raj Thackeray’s supporters must follow during the public gathering on Sunday at at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch.
Thackeray also slammed Amravati MP Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana for the ruckus outside Matoshree, the residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
