KarlTzy hits first savage in Bren s rousing M2 debut over Japan s 10s Gaming Frost

KarlTzy, the undisputed MVP of the MPL Philippines Season 6, was the same monster on the world stage with his Lancelot singlehandedly wiping out 10S Gaming in the easy second game of the swift series.  With the lopsided victory, the reigning Filipino champion Bren fired a warning shot ahead of its grudge match against Alter Ego Esports of Indonesia for an assured upper bracket spot later at 6 p.m.

Published January 19, 2021, 7:02 PM Photo from David Charles Canon’s Facebook account Bren Esports came through with a vengeful 2-0 victory over Indonesia’s Alter Ego Esports to grab an upper bracket spot in the M2 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship on Tuesday at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.  The reigning MPL Philippines champion showed its nerves of steel in the hard-fought opener against the Indonesian runner-up before wrapping up the series with a dominant win in the second game.  It was a sweet revenge for Bren’s demoralizing defeat to Alter Ego in the grand finals of the ONE Esports MPL Invitational last month. Bren also dealt AE its first game loss since its perfect run in the MPLI. 

Omega secures M2 upper bracket spot with sweep of Cambodia s Impunity

Published January 18, 2021, 7:23 PM Photo from Omega Esports’ Facebook page Smart Omega barely broke a sweat in sweeping Impunity KH of Cambodia, 2-0, to snag an upper bracket spot in the M2 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship on Monday night at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.  Salic “Hadjizy” Imam’s Yi Sun-shin and EJ “Heath” Esperanza’s Hilda carried the fight in the opener while it was a Lapu-Lapu show for Jankurt “KurtTzy” Matira in the clincher, allowing Omega to wrap up the series in just 23 minutes.   The MPL Philippines Season 6 runner-up came through with a flawless campaign in Group B as it thrashed MPL Malaysia-Singapore champion Todak, 2-0, earlier in the opening match of the $300,000 (over P14 million)  tournament.
