As of the time being, Stranded Deep is made available for PlayStation4, Xbox One, Linux, macOS, and Microsoft Windows. Although Stranded Deep can be available on co-op split-screen multiplayer mode on some platforms, it s not compatible to all except for PC.

The initial release of the game for the public has been announced long since October 2018 by TellTale games. After studio closure of Telltale, Australian Studio Beam Team Games took over. The famous survival video game has gained traction from its official release for consoles such as PlaysStation 4 and Xbox 1 last April 21, 2020 by Beam team Games. Later on this year, the game was released as optimized for PC.
