Twenty-year-old Tyler Gamblin is due to be sentenced in the July 2020 death of Nathan Gallant, who was found stabbed along Route 825.
The 29-year-old later died in hospital from his injuries.
Gamblin’s lawyer, Wes McIntosh, raised concerns about “deficiencies” in the pre-sentence report, meaning more time is needed for Probation services to complete it.
Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Darrell Stevenson granted the delay during a hearing on Thursday.
Gamblin took part over the phone from the county jail in Saint John.
The sentencing hearing is scheduled to resume on March 18th at 12 p.m.
