Listed betting stocks Flutter, the owner of Paddy Power and Betfair, and Ladbrokes-owner Entain have risen by around 70 per cent since the start of 2020.
Bet365, which is owned and run by Denise Coates and her family rather than listed on the stock market, was valued at £6.5billion a year ago.
If its value has risen by the same amount as its stock market-listed rivals, it would now be worth more than £10billion.
That would add more than £4billion to the Coates’ family wealth.
One industry analyst said the company could be valued at between £7billion and £10billion, adding that ‘a £10billion valuation isn’t silly’.

New findings are set to emerge next year to adapt preventative intervention for gambling harm in the UK.
The leading UK gambling protection charity has commissioned the second version of its gambling harm reduction survey.
The Study
GambleAware s second Annual GB Treatment and Support Demand Survey will be conducted by YouGov, and run concurrently with three other surveys.
Each survey will offer identical questions specifically focussing on on gambling behaviour; harms; and barriers and facilitators to accessing treatment and support.

Gordon Moody Association (GMA) has reaffirmed its commitment to support women affected by gambling-related harm by opening the first residential treatment centre for female gamblers in 2021.
The centre, which will be the first both in the UK and across the world, will be based in the Midlands and will offer a unique, safe environment to treat 24 women who are severely impacted by gambling disorders on an annual basis.

There is an absolutely urgent need to change this and the impact of Covid means this is a growing crisis that needs to be tackled with more expertise and resources.
