Man injured in Christ Church shooting Article by May 4, 2021 A young man was left nursing gunshot injuries on Monday after a shooting incident at Gall Hill, Christ Church, the fourth since Saturday night when four people were injured in three separate incidents in St Michael. Gall Hill residents, who did not wish to reveal their identity, said the young man was shot by an assailant outside the Varn Blue Bar Variety just after 7 a.m. “I woke up and was about to read my Bible when I heard the gunshots. I hit the ground and then called the police,” said one resident.

Road works activities for April 6 – 9 Article by April 4, 2021 St James – Along Highway One, the 5 contractors are working diligently to complete the project along the West coast.  Repairs to a 24 feet storm water drain is in progress at Risk Road, after which the road will be paved. At Tulip Drive, St James, paving work will continue this week. St Andrew – The gabion stabilization project in Trio Path, has been completed. The placement of a footpath from the A. Dacosta Edwards Primary School to the Belleplaine junction continues. St Joseph – Work on Dark Hole continues this week. The road remains closed in order to facilitate road works and the construction of gabions. Phase 2 of the Fruitful Hill road rehabilitation project is also continuing. Gabion stabilization projects in Bissex, Coconut Grove and Ridge Road are completed and the roads are being reinstated.

Financial Literacy Bureau clinic at Christ Church Foundation cancelled Article by December 14, 2020 The Financial Literacy Bureau (FLB) clinics slated for tomorrow, Tuesday, December 15, and Thursday, December 17, at the Christ Church Foundation School, Christ Church, to discuss Budgeting for your Household and Costing and Pricing for Businesses have been cancelled.  However, the clinics will continue at other venues for the week.  Using your Credit Card Wisely will be the topic for discussion during the clinic at Ellerton Community Centre, Ellerton, St. George, on Wednesday, December 16.  At the Frederick Smith Secondary School, Trents, St. James, Costing and Pricing for Businesses will be discussed. At the Gall Hill Resource Centre, Gall Hill, St. John, facilitators will educate persons on Using your Credit Card Wisely. All sessions will run from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
