Solapur. The deceased teacher was on election duty for the Pandharpur-Mangalvedha Assembly bypoll of April 17.
Pramod Mane, a resident of Gherdi village in Solapur s Sangola tehsil, was also part of teams tracing contacts of
COVID-19 patients in the area.
He had tested positive on April 24 and had complained of shivering and fever. He was first admitted to a hospital in Sangola and later in Mumbai.
His wife, son, parents and aunt too had tested positive for the virus.

PUNE: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Thursday addressed a large meeting in Pandharpur in Solapur district of Maharashtra ahead of an assembly by- poll there, with the opposition BJP alleging that COVID-19 norms were flouted during it.
Pawar addressed the indoor gathering while campaigning for Bhagirath Bhalke, who has been fielded by the NCP in the bypolls to the Pandharpur-Mangalvedha assembly constituency.
