Gaibandha police, from its custody, has allegedly handed over a trader to a ruling party leader for his failure to pay debt. Almost a month later, the man was found dead at the leader s home.
The body of Hasan Ali, 45, was found hanging in a toilet of Masud Rana s home in Bollomjhar area of Gaibandha town yesterday.
Hasan, son of late Hazrat Ali, resident of Thanapara area was an owner of a shoe store in the town.
Police detained Rana around noon yesterday but no case against him was filed until 6:00pm when this report was filed. The cops were seen dealing with the matter rather relaxed.
