A Sweet Springs man was seriously injured in a head-on collision in Lafayette County, Friday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as the northbound vehicle driven by 19-year-old Gage Davidson of Green Ridge crossed the center line and struck the southbound vehicle, driven by 64-year-old Harlan Reid of Sweet Springs head on.
Reid sustained serious injuries and was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center for treatment. Davidson was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash happened at 8:50 a.m. on Highway 23, north of Davis Road.
