Hyderabad, May 17 : Implementation of lockdown and co-ordination among various departments is leading to gradual decline in the new Covid-19 positive cases in Telangana, two state ministers said on Monday.
Animal Husbandary minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali reviewed the Covid situation in Greater Hyderabad with the Mayor, District Collector and officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
They observed that with the implementation of lockdown, proper functioning of government hospitals and Basthi Dawakhanas, door to door fever survey and special sanitation drive, the number of positive cases have declined.

Hyderabad, May 7 : All major Municipal Corporations in Telangana now have women Mayors and Deputy Mayors as the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Friday entrusted the key posts in Warangal and Khammam to women.
Women corporators of the TRS were unanimously elected as Mayors and Deputy Mayors of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) and Khammam Municipal Corporation (KMC).
Former MP and TRS women wing President Gundu Sudha Rani was elected mayor of GWMC, the second biggest municipal corporation in the state after the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Though the post was reserved for BC/general candidate, the TRS choose a woman leader as the mayor.

Hyderabad, April 5 : Telangana s Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Monday announced that a comprehensive drainage network would be constructed at the cost of Rs 3,500 crore in the municipalities around Hyderabad.
Addressing a meeting of officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), he said the sewerage and drainage infrastructure in the municipalities will be improved, while the government had already started works to improve drinking water supply in these areas at a cost of Rs 3,000 crore.
New road-under-bridge at Hitec City inaugurated; to ease traffic in IT corridor
This is expected to facilitate the free flow of traffic from Hitec City to Kukatpally.

Hyderabad: State urban development minister KT Rama Rao on Monday inaugurated a new road under bridge (RUB) developed under the state road development project (SRDP) at Hitec City.
Constructed at a cost of 66.59 crore by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), the new RUB near Hitec City railway station is 410 meters in length and 20.6 meters in width. It also comes with a 9-metre bi-directional carriageway including that of approaches.
