The inspection team found that the constructed fencing wall was of low quality. It was found that water was leaking from the dam and the plaster was coming off from the walls.

Manipur: Artificial water reservoir to solve water scarcity problem in Tamenglong
Manipur CM N Biren Singh had tweeted about the picturesque hilltop water reservoir at Tamenglong which aims to solve the problem of water scarcity.

Imphal: The Tamenglong water supply projects, located atop picturesque hills, have caught the attention of one and all in Manipur. Constructed under the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) Scheme under the Ministry of DoNER (Development of Northeastern Region), there are two artificial water reservoirs in Tamenglong scheduled for inauguration next year.
The first one is at Hagoipat Duithanlong at 1,160 metres above sea level with a capacity of 46.90 million litres.
