KOTA KINABALU: Sebatik assemblyman Hassan A Gani Pg Amir, who left Parti Warisan Sabah to support Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), claims that his pre-signed resignation letter was done under duress, and was thus invalid.
He said he signed it because otherwise, he would not have been selected as a candidate in GE14.
Hassan had posted in his Facebook that he had indeed made the oath, but that it was invalid as he was under duress, according to Bernama.
“If I had not sworn the oath (to resign from office if he left Warisan), I would not be placed as election candidate. I support GRS for the people of Sebatik, ” he wrote.
