Duke and Penn were slated to play on March 14, and Quaker attacker Gabby Rosenzweig’s likely matchup was defender Callie Humphrey.
The game never happened, and the two were roommates at Duke this fall. Rosenzweig transferred for her fifth-year of eligibility after COVID-19 cut short her senior season at Penn.
The two quickly put their on-field battles behind them, and Rosenzweig is looking forward, too.
“I feel like [everyone] welcomed me into the family right away and didn’t hesitate for a second to do that,” she says.
But sometimes, Rosenzweig looks back at a year that’s felt like a lifetime. She started 2020 with her sights set on an Ivy League title and playing late into May.
