BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana took game one of a four-game weekend series on Friday afternoon, 4-1, as the Hoosiers struck for two runs in the bottom of the fifth and one more in the sixth for the victory. Ohio State is now 13-11 on the season while Indiana improves to 12-13.
The Short Story
IU’s Emily Goodin pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts but was matched by freshman Allison Smith, who entered the game in the second inning and fanned six over five innings of work. Indiana, however, broke a 1-all tie in the bottom of the fifth inning RBI single by Grayson Radcliffe and an RBI ground out off the bat of Bella Norton that scored Gabby Jenkins from third. The Hoosiers tacked on a run in the bottom of the sixth via a Brooke Benson RBI single.

Briefly on the Buckeyes
Ohio State enters the weekend series with a 13-10 overall record.
Since campus-series began the weekend of March 26-28, the Buckeyes are 7-4 with series wins over Maryland (three of four) and Penn State (all three games).
The Buckeyes are hitting .261 as a team and have three starters who all currently check with a batting average of .300 or better: Tegan Cortelletti (.367), Mariah Rodriguez (.311) and Sam Hackenbracht (.309).

Jill Orschel, an award-winning Park City-based filmmaker, wants to introduce the world to Cora Lee Witt, a visual artist who, after three decades, was able to break out of a Fundamentalist Latter-day Saint community on the Utah and Arizona border.
Orschel plans to reveal a film trailer and announce a crowdsourcing campaign for “Snowland,” which is taken from the name of a fantasy world Witt created inside her mind and thorugh art to cope while living under the strict religious and patriarchal rules of the polygamous sect, at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, during an online presentation with Park City Film.

Julie Shae Tuck Middleton FORTVILLE Julie Shae Tuck Middleton, age 56, of Fortville, died peacefully in her sleep of a heart attack on Friday, December 4th, 2020. Julie was born May 21st, 1964 in Anderson IN to Earl Eugene and Linda Ann (Miller) Tuck. She attended Mt. Vernon High School in Fortville and retired from professional life while running the office of P & A Machine Co. with her long time partner, Andre Coffey. Julie made friends wherever she went. She had an infectious laugh and kind heart. She would go out of her way to help friends who needed anything from her. Those who know Julie, know of her unwavering love for her children; daughter, Miriah Nichole Scruggs, and son, Michael Sean Middleton. Growing up, she never said no when they brought yet another animal home, and sometimes she was the one bringing the strays home herself. When Sean was young and got into skateboarding but didn’t have a safe place to ride, Julie went to town meeting
