Cross Creek Tomahwaks The Cross Creek Tomahawks met April 8 at the School of Bright Promise. Gabby Bodo led the meeting. Remaining project books were passed out, and the skillathon was discussed. Applications for junior fairboard were distributed to those who qualify. Members were advised of the April 29 deadline to change or drop projects. Community service projects also were discussed. The club was advised that the Special Olympics and dinner for local athletes were again canceled this year. The club was contacted by a local nursing home about doing landscape cleaning or planting flowers or tomatoes for the residents. It was decided not to take this on as a project.

Wilson, health and safety officer, presented information on ticks. The group discussed project books and contest day. Cloverbuds were reminded they need to do activities in the newsletter before April 18. The group spoke with the American Red Cross about doing a community service project and helping people in Texas. A cleanup day and meeting April 18 is planned at the School of Bright Promise. Helping with painting at the fairgrounds will be a topic.
