RAS AL KHAIMAH, 5th October, 2022 (WAM) The RAK Energy Summit concluded today at Al Hamra International Exhibition and Conference Centre in Ras Al Khaimah after two days of dialogue that explored ways to shape the global conversation on climate change and the future of energy sustainability.The summit was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and witnessed the participation of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, International.
Climate change mitigation took center stage on the second day of the Summit, which was brought to a close with a private-sector networking reception featuring top ma.
The UAE has launched its Power-to-Liquids Roadmap, which was drafted in cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the World Economic Forum.
DUBAI, 27th July, 2022 (WAM) Eng. Sharif Al Olama, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for the Energy and Petroleum Sector, said that achieving the Principles of the 50 and the efforts to enhance the country's overall stature, including in the energy sector, requires greater cooperation between government authorities and the private sector.
He made this statement during the launch of the Power-to-Liquids Roadmap: Fuelling the Aviation Energy Transition in the United Arab Emirates, which was drafted in cooperation between the Ministry.
In recognition of its exemplary contribution to preserving the marine environment, enabling the sustainable development of the local and regional vital sectors and achieving the IMO’s decarbonisation goals, the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure was recognised as “Sustainability Leader in Shipping” and as a “Decarbonization Champion in Power Sector” during the recently held Decarbonisation .
