A BLACKBURN based training provider is delivering a new pathway for young people who left school during the pandemic. Training 2000, based on Furthergate Business Park, Harwood Street, hopes to help youngsters bridge the gap between leaving school and going on to an apprenticeship of full time job at a time when young peoples prospects have been hit hard. A range of traineeships will be available, focusing on preparing 16 to 18 year olds for the world of work and have been calibrated with the impact that the pandemic has had on learning and employment prospects. Lead Tutor Jonathon Ayling said: “We have updated our employability section of the Traineeship to reflect the needs of learners whose learning has been disrupted by Covid-19.”
