The family of missing Sarah Everard last night released a touching tribute to the 33-year-old who went missing on Wednesday, March 3. They said: Sarah was bright and beautiful - a wonderful daughter and sister. She was kind and thoughtful, caring and dependable. She always put others first and had the most amazing sense of humour. She was strong and principled and a shining example to us all. We are very proud of her and she brought so much joy to our lives.

The First Minister has used the coronavirus pandemic to transform Scotland into an independent state rather than a country in the UK, Express.co.uk has been told. It comes as Ms Sturgeon said Scotland s objective must be to eliminate coronavirus. She warned that the virus won t play ball with any effort to maintain numbers at a medium level .

The European Council President this week sparked outrage in Downing Street after he accused the Government of slapping an “outright ban” on drugs giants from sending their jabs abroad. His remarks prompted a high-level intervention from Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who insisted Britain had not blocked any exports and opposes “vaccine nationalism”. Despite this, Mr Michel, the EU’s most senior official, has continued to push his claim that Britain is preventing vaccines from leaving our shores.
But the initiative was trashed by furious MEPs who were prompt to criticise the efforts of the European Commission and Council.
French MEP Manon Aubry warned symbolic exercises of communications with European citizens will not be enough to convince people eurocrats are willing to change.
She blasted: The Conference on the Future of Europe cannot be limited to a communication exercise. Symbolic reforms will not be enough: new European treaties are needed if we want to face the climate crises and inequalities.
The group of The Left in the European Parliament also lambasted the project.
In a joint statement, the heads Co-Presidents of the group said: “The Left will be insisting that this is a people-focused project with treaty change a fundamental part of the objectives.

Brexit has left the EU27 fighting over fishing quotas and MEPs are calling for Brussels to make drastic changes to its Common Fisheries Policy. It comes as the European Commission is planning to force small fishermen to install CCTV cameras on their vessels, a move that infuriated French MEP France Jamet.
