Thanks to talented artists who express their love for pop culture through their art, in addition to our favorite superhero comics, we always have another, unique take on classic characters routine. Chilean cartoonist Karlo Ferdon creates hilarious spin-offs of the original superhero comics that show the underbelly of their everyday lives outside their job of saving the world and being role models. They also can be goofy, misunderstood, or struggle with their superpowers, which is far from the perfect portrayal we are used to seeing in comic books or on the big screen but makes them so much more relatable to us. Or at least gives us a good laugh we need!

Mochi the pug is not your average dog. The furbaby is the sweetest blub whose life is full of excitement and joi de vivre (if we agree upon the fact that doggos are also capable of feeling this posh-sounding emotion) in all the little daily things he goes through. In fact, it seems that Mochi’s main task is being cute, which he totally nails day by day.
The pug is also the inspiration for the comic series of Spanish artist Gemma Gené, who currently resides in New York. Gemma’s adorable drawings featuring herself, the charming Mochi, and his two rescued brothers Huey and Duey have won the hearts of 338k followers on her Instagram page “157ofgemma.”
