Funmi Afolayan: Rendering Praise In the Name of the Creator
This debut album consolidates the prestige and reputation of the Afolayan dynasty.
This month, Funmi Afolayan will release her first album,
Oruko Oluwa. It was a pleasure for me to interview the singer and listen to the entire album. Mrs. Funmi Afolayan began her Christian ministry experience as a member of the enterprising Glorylanders of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Lagos. She then led the Praise Bells of Zion Faith Mission, Ibadan, another dynamic choir, of which she is still a member. She is a student in the Department of Social Works, University of Ibadan, and is married to Adeshina Afolayan, a professor of Philosophy in the same university.
