Punch Newspapers Sections Published 17 March 2021 Men of the Nigerian Police have arrested five more suspects in connection with the killing of Mrs Funke Olakunri, the daughter of the former Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti. Olakunori was killed in July 2019 by some hoodlums in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area, along Ore-Shagamu Highway. The five new suspects are Lawal Mazaje, Adamu Adamu, Mohammed Usman, Auwal Abubakar, and Muhammed Shehu. The police had earlier arrested four persons in connection with the murder case and they had also been standing trial over the matter since 2020. At the resumption of hearing of the murder case at an Akure High Court, the prosecuting counsel, Grace Olowoporoku, informed the court that five more suspects had been arrested in connection with the case.
