Stargazers were treated to a final astronomical sight of the year on Tuesday night as the last full moon of the 2020 rose into the night sky and shone down on the planet leading to some spectacular photographs being taken from coast to coast across the United States.

The final full moon of 2020, known as the December cold moon, will be shining in the night sky this week.
Sky gazers will be able to see the 13th full moon of the year yes, this is one of those occasional years with 13 full moons on Tuesday, Dec. 29. That is, as long as Mother Nature cooperates, which she didn’t do during the first night of the unique Saturn-Jupiter conjunction on Dec. 21.
