Perfetti Van Melle-owned confectionery brand Fruittella is tapping into the fast-growing free-from food market with the launch of two new lines, Fruit Duo and Fruit Coin jellies.
The soft jellies are made with real fruit juice and both ranges offer a mix of flavours in each bag; Fruittella Fruit Duos come in strawberry-apple, strawberry-orange and strawberry-lemon flavours, while the Fruit Coins flavours are strawberry, raspberry and blackberry.
Both lines boast sugar-free, gluten-free and dairy-free credentials, with no artificial colouring or flavouring. The brand’s ‘sweetened by nature’ strapline features on the block colour, stand-out packaging to drive this messaging and draw attention on shelf.

Confectionery company PVM is adding two free-from sweets to its Fruittella portfolio, in line with the “exceptional” growth of the free-from market.
Fruittella Fruit Duos are available in strawberry-apple, strawberry-orange and strawberry-lemon flavours, while the Fruit Coins flavours are strawberry, raspberry and blackberry.
Both packs retail at £1.39.
The launches target shoppers with “diverse dietary needs” and are sugar, gluten and dairy-free and have no artificial colourings or flavourings.
Kate Howe, Fruittella product manager at PVM, said: “We have found there is a challenge associated with confectionery within the ‘better for you’ category and that’s why we continually invest in broadening our range in this area.
